Te Whanau Tautoko
Te Whānau Tautoko: Masterton Primary School’s PTA
We are a dedicated group of parents with tamariki at Masterton Primary School, working together to raise funds that directly benefit our students and the school community. Our goal is to hold two fundraisers each term, with one being a school disco—a crowd favourite among our tamariki! This mahi is about creating a stronger connection to Māori culture for both kaiako and ākonga while celebrating the unique identity of our kura and community. At Masterton Primary School, our involvement in Kahui Ako Wairarapatanga directly benefits our students, teachers, and whānau in several meaningful ways.

What we've done:
In the past, we’ve had the pleasure of running a variety of successful events that have brought our community together and raised funds for the school. From delicious cookie dough and pie sales to creative calendar art projects, these initiatives have not only been a hit but also showcased the incredible spirit of our school community. As we continue our fundraising journey, we are always excited to explore fresh and fun ideas, knowing that the possibilities are endless when it comes to supporting our school in new and creative ways!
Though we may be a relatively new team, we are bursting with enthusiasm and big ideas that will help take our school’s fundraising efforts to new heights. Our team is made up of individuals from all walks of life, each bringing unique perspectives and experiences to the table. What unites us, however, is a shared passion for supporting our school and ensuring that we create enjoyable experiences along the way.
Meetings & How to join:
We meet twice a term to plan and review fundraisers and discuss anything relevant to our group or the school. Joining Te Whānau Tautoko is a fantastic way to connect with other families, build friendships, and make a positive impact at our school.
Interested in joining? We’d love to meet you! Come along to one of our meetings—details are shared on Facebook, Hero, or via email. Reach out for more information, and help us make a difference for Masterton Primary School.
